Tough day for the Varsity Boys Tennis team who loss their semi-final
matches except for Jake Gober who will compete for the #1 singles
title vs. Mt. St. Joe's Jordan Portner at 3:15 on our courts. Best of
luck to Jake tomorrow! Thank you Seniors for all you have given to McD
tennis during your US career!

Fresh-Soph boys lacrosse loss in the championship game today vs. John
Carroll 11-9!! What a great season these boys had! Thanks to Coach
Courtemanche and Coach Reddy for all their work and leadership with
the team this spring! We are proud of you guys!

Good luck to Tennis today and Thank you Golf Seniors

Yesterday the Varsity Boys golf team battled the Cavaliers in the
semi-finals of the MIAA Golf Championship but fell short 13.5-7.5! We
salute you seniors and thank you for a great season and career at
McDonogh.
Today the following tennis players are still in the hunt for an
individual title: Jake Gober, Clark Buchman, Vibav Mouli, Brad Goldman
and Bruno Babij and Tony Koshar !! Good luck to our Eagles!

Eagles in the Ark!

Despite Biblical rains today the varsity boys golf team handed Gilman a 16.5-4.5 loss to advance to the league's semis vs Spalding on Wednesday.  Fresh-Sophisticated boys lacrosse beat  Curley today 8-5 to stay alive for the championship. Way to go Eagles!

4th Straight Title-GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Varsity Girls lacrosse game had to bring the A+ game today against
the Maryvale Lions because the Lions were hungry for the upset. But
the Eagles proved why they are the number 1 team in lacrosse and
maintained their poise in the final minutes of the game to beat
Maryvale 12-11! The SENIORS finished their career winning 4 straight
Championships! We will miss you Seniors! Best of luck to you all next
year in college. THANK YOU Coach Robinson, Love, Dubansky and Robinson
for all your support, guidance, and confidence in our girls. Fans,
thank you for coming out on Mother's Day to cheer for our girls. We
are so proud of our school community.

Girls Track WINS 9th STRAIGHT CROWN! Boys Captured THIRD!!

Eagle Fans today at Archbishop Spalding the track teams did what they
do best....run, throw, jump, FLY>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
GIrls claimed their 9th straight Outdoor Title..an UNBELIEVABLE
ACHIEVEMENT! There were many personal bests for both the boys and
girls.
Our Boys finished in THIRD place (behind #1 Gilman and #2 St. Joe)
which was a huge accomplishment against other all boy schools like
Loyola and Curley. We are proud of our seniors..thank you so much..we
will miss you next year. To Coach Sanborn, Munroe, Thomas, Klein,
Ford, Gross, Beraldi, Gill, and Bohlayer you all worked so well
together and the kids love you all...GO EAGLES!!

Friday Game Results

Varsity Boys Lacrosse lost today in the first round of the MIAA
playoffs to Boys Latin 7-3. It was a battle!! Ga,e tied at half 2-2/.
The Eagles NEVER game up and yet, fell to the Lakers in the last
half.. We want to thank our SENIORS for all their contributions to the
lacrosse program over the years. Coach Hilgy spoke from the heart
after the game to the boys that we had great senior leadership...no
one thought we would get to the playoffs at all but we did and we also
beat the #1 team Calvert Hall. at home this season..you guys were
awesome..keep your heads and hearts up!!

Fresh-Soph boys lacrosse beat Friends today 4-2 and still continue
their season into next week! Good Job, Boys!

Hope to see lots of fans out tomorrow for our girls and boys track
teams who vye for the title at Archbishop Spalding! Go eagles. Field
Events begin at 9:30. Running events begin at 121:45. Admission is
$8.00

Best of luck to Girls Varsity Lacrosse who plays this Sunday at 3 PM
at Stevenson Unversity Stadium in Owings Mills and take on the
Maryvale Lions. Admission is $7.00.

Varsity Golf beat Georgetown Prep 12-9 today in non-conference play as
a tune up to next week's opening round against Gilman.

Today's Game Results

Eagle Fans, hello! The Varsity Girls Golf team had a great second
round today and came in SECOND place in the IAAM 2012 Golf tournament!
Congratulations to our girls and coaches for a great season!

Varsity Boys Tennis fell to Mt. St. Joe 5-0 in the playoffs; however
the Eagles look forward to winning some Individual ahmpionships next
week at McDonogh!

Varsity Girls Lacrosse beat Notre Dame Prep this afternoon 13-2 and
advance to the Championship game this Sunday at 3 PM at Stevenson
University Mustang Stadium.

Friday, 5/11

Game Update

Varsity Boys Tennis beat Beth Tfiloh 4-1 today as did Varsity Boys
golf who beat St. Paul's 13.5-7.5!! Varsity Softball lost 2-0 to Notre
Dame Prep on the road. The girls played their hearts out and had a
terrific season. We will miss you Seniors! Boys and GIrls Track today
at Spalding had great success on Day 1 of the events. More details to
come from Coach Sanborn, but the Eagles go back on Saturday for Day 2.
Fresh-Soph girls lacrosse lost to NDP 14-8 to finish their season.
But the girls had a very successful season nonetheless and finished
with a winning record.
Varsity Girls Golf had a good day today and will advance to round 2
tomorrow with Marin Kobb, Andrea Breeden, Lucy Imbach, and Rachel
McCarthy teeing off to vye for the IAAM Championship. GO Eagles! Girls
lacrosse is home tomorrow and will face NDP in a big semi-final
game...Good luck to all teams still in the hunt!

Around the Soggy Nest

Heart-breaker loss for Varsity Boys Lacrosse this afternoon at home.
Lakers edged the Eagles 8-7! The boys will have to travel to Boys
Latin in a quarterfinal playoff game on Friday. On the turf field
Girls Varsity Lacrosse sank Severn today and will host TBA team on
Thursday in a semi-final playoff game. Varsity Baseball fell to the
Cardinals 14-3 in their last game of the season. Tough loss for the
boys. Thank you Seniors for all you have given to this great game over
your US career.


Tomorrow's schedule looks like this.....
Best of luck to Girls Golf who gear up for their IAAM championship
rounds tomorrow and Thursday and will challenge RPCS and other IAAM
teams who are in the hunt for the crown.
Boys Tennis hopes to play tomorrow at home vs. Beth Tfiloh in an early
playoff match.
V Boys Golf plays St. Paul's tomorrow at Woodholme and FS girls travel
to NDP for their final game of the season.
Varsity Softball travels to NDP for the quarter-final playoff game. If
they can't play tomorrow, the girls will play Thursday.
Finally, the Varsity Boys, JV, and Girls Varsity Track teams travel to
Spalding for Day 1 of the 2012 Championships. We wish all the Eagles
the very best!

12-4 FS boys lacrosse won over Annapolis Area Christian! ! JV boys baseball  finished season with 15-3 victory over Calvert Hall! Congratulations ! Tough loss for JV golfers who loss to Cardinals in league action!

Great wins for varsity softball who beat garrison forest today as well as jv baseball who lapped Boys Latin!  Varsity baseball lost 8-3 to the cavaliers!

Congratulations to FS girls who beat IND today by many goals. JV boys baseball won as well against St Mary's. Tough day for JV boys Lacrosse who fell to St.Paul 's as did Varsity baseball who lost to Spalding. Varsity tennis did beat MT St Joe 5-0 today!

Wednesday game results

Congratulations to the Fresh-Soph girls today who beat Park's JV team
13-4. Our FS boys lacrosse team lost heartbreaker to the Park Bruins
3-2.
Varsity Boys Track and JV lost to Mount St. Joe today on the road. The
Eagles look to rebound and challenge the top teams next week in the
championship!

Well, it was a tough day for some Eagles today whose wings were
clipped:((...Varsity baseball fell to the St.Paul's 12-3. St. Joe beat
Varsity boys lacrosse 6-2...on teh road...Annapolis Area Christian
beat Varsity softball 4-2. At home Fresh-Soph girls lacrosse beat
Catholic High's varsity 14-7 and Varsity Boys Tennis beat the Lakers
5-0 in MIAA action. Keep working hard Eagles...and keep your chins up!

Wednesday, 5/2

Around the Nest

Congratulations to J.V. Girls lacrosse who finished their season today
undefeated...this makes the THIRD year in a row that the JV girls have
not lost a game. Shout out to Coach Sifri and Crooks for leading the
Eagles to victory...the JV and Varsity teams beat Century today and
remain undefeated. The Varsity girls now wait until next Tuesday to
start the IAAM playoffs as the #1 seed and will host two playoff
games.

JV Boys lacrosse came through in the final quarter to beat St. Joe
today 8-6 for a huge win!!
FS boys lacrosse lost a tough one to the Patriots in Harford County 7-5.

Varsity Tennis did edge out Severn today in MIAA action 3-2.
JV Boys golf beat Loyola on the road 18-3 for a nice win and the
Varsity Girls Golf team lost unfortunately to RPCS 3-0 to finish their
regular season schedule. The girls will participate in next week's
playoff matches. Good luck to the Eagles!

Congratulations to Varsity baseball who beat Riverdale Baptist 3-1 today in the second game of today's invitational. Eagles fell 4-2 to St Alban in first game. JV Lacrosse traveled to Georgetown Prep 9-7 for a great win! Go Eagles!

Around the Nest

Congratulations to Varsity Boys Lacrosse who beat Spalding today 10-3
for a big MIAA win! Varsity and JV Girls finish their regular season
with two wins over visiting John Carroll. Varsity Softball lost a
tough game to Maryvale 6-4. Tomorrow, the Varsity Baseball plays at
9:30 am vs. St. Alban. At high noon the baseball field will be
dedicated so please come out if you can to cheer on the Eagles...if
the weather holds up the Eagles will play Riverdale Baptist at 4
PM...Go Eagles!

Thursday's Game Results

HUGE wins for the DIAMOND sports today as the Varsity Softball team
beat the #1 team in the conference, IND, 9-6! The Indians were
undefeated coming into today's game. The girls hit, our pitcher threw
a great game and the defense made the PLAYS! Great win for our girls.
Varsity baseball held onto a 4-3 win to nip the Gaels today and it
came down to the 7th inning with a great throw from the right fielder
to our catcher for the THIRD out! Awesome throw and block at the
plate.
More...JV boys lacrosse traveled to the Spalding and beat the
Cavaliers in OT 7-6..the boys played hard and came up with the game
winner. Tough loss on the road for the Varsity boys golf team who fell
to Archbishop Spalding 13.5-7.5! We look forward to seeing our Alums
come back to the NEST this weekend. GO EAGLES
