Rooting for Rocks, Planting Tomatoes

Lower schoolers helped to advance the McDonogh Roots farm project Wednesday afternoon, March 25. First graders planted tomatoes in peat pots, while the kindergartners and prefirsters took a bus ride to the plot to remove roots and rocks. The plot will be tilled next week and potatoes planted. For details about the McDonogh Roots project, see the Roots button on the front page of the Web site.
