Athletic Awards Night
More than 400 upper schoolers participated in athletics and together won a record 13 championships. Students, parents, and coaches celebrated these and other 2008-2009 achievements during the Athletic Awards Night Ceremony on Monday, June 8 in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre. Student-athletes received honors for their commitment, fortitude, attitude, and good sportsmanship. Memorable moments included Rachel H’s performance of the “National Anthem,” students’ responses to glowing tributes from their coaches, award winners surprised to be named, and the awkwardness of posing for photos.
