The Unseen World

What is it like to be visually impaired? To feel the keys of a Braille typewriter instead of see the keys on a computer? To navigate around a room without vision to identify obstacles? A representative from the Maryland School for the Blind invited third graders into the world of the visually impaired on February 19. Wearing masks and goggles that altered their vision, students shared the experience of those without sight.
