A Honey of a Lesson

The 17 students in Cynthia Cox's In Good Taste: The Literature of Food class buzzed with excitement last Friday. Beekeeper David Cromwell introduced them to McDonogh's resident hives. After the bees were smoked out, students examined the honeycomb for its golden byproduct. After school, beekeeper Darryl Gonzalez offered a similar lesson for those interested.
