Swaying to the Bluegrass Beat
Lower schoolers discovered the catchy country beat of bluegrass music on October 7, thanks to guests Frank Solivan and the Dirty Kitchen Band. The kids could hardly stay still when Solivan broke out his fiddle in the Kelly Center and bandmates joined in on bass, guitar, and banjo. "Are you on iTunes?" asked one student during the question-and-answer session. "Yes, we are," said Solivan. Cool! The band played a concert in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre that evening.
