Students Send Candy to Soldiers
Regina Karwacki's math students in grades one through four recently collected candy for Operation Shoebox, an organization that sends care packages to U.S. troops stationed abroad. Prior to mailing the sweet treats, Karwacki asked each student to estimate the total weight of the candy. The final delivery was 52 pounds.
