Sophomore Oratory Finals
Emceed by Tobi A., the 31st Annual Sophomore Oratory Contest featured speeches by five finalists on Wednesday, May 11. Allison F. spoke passionately about "Same-Sex Prom Dates." Leah G. exhorted teachers to take their classes outside in "Out with the Indoors." Dan M. pushed the idea of putting all government resources toward time travel in "The AWESOME Idea." Amanda M. explained the necessity of little white lies for better relationships in "The Invention of Lying." Anne R. urged the administration to sharply curtail educational gadgetry in "Technology in the Classroom." The winner will be announced at the Headmaster's Day ceremony tomorrow morning.
