Distinguished Service Award 2012

On February 15, 2012, Lynn McKain received the Alumni Association's "Distinguished Service Award" for her years of dedication to McDonogh School as Director of Communications.

Singing Telegrams

The Women of Note and Gentleman Songsters delivered singing telegrams to classmates and faculty for Valentine’s Day.

Chinese New Year Assembly

Upper School students demonstrated how the people of China celebrate the Chinese New Year. The students's performed skits illustrating Kung Fu, Tone and Stroke Order, and Calligraphy. They finished the assembly singing Chinese songs.

McDonogh Winter Strings Concert 2012

The McDonogh Upper School String Orchestra and Middle School Strings, under the direction of Mr. Andrew Shaud, and the Lower School String Ensembles, under the direction of Ms. Catherine Frey, presented a beautiful concert in the Tagart Memorial Chapel on January 10. 2012.

All-School Holiday Assembly 2011

The 2011 All-School Holiday Assembly was full of wonderful band, dance, orchestral, and choral performances by many McDonogh students.

Jazz Band Winter Concert 2011

The McDonogh School Jazz Band and Jazz Ensembles, under the direction of Mr. Don New, treated their audience to another swinging performance in their annual Winter Concert in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre on December 8, 2011.

A Holiday Concert Excerpts

The McDonogh Upper School Choral Ensembles, under the direction of Mr. Philip Olsen, presented a beautiful holiday concert in the Tagart Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 10th. These excerpts from the performance include "Jingle Bells" ("The One Horse Open Sleigh")by James Pierpoint, sung by the Concert Choir and Senior Singers; "Christmas Chopstix," a traditional song, sung by The Women of Note; and "Indiana Christmas," by Straight No Chaser, sung by The Gentlemen Songsters.

WINTER BAND CONCERT 2011

The Seventh, Eighth, and Upper School bands performed in a wonderful winter concert on Tuesday, December 6th in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre under the direction of Band Director Pete Hengen.

Pourquoi Tales

Fourth graders performed original myths and pourquoi tales for Lower School students, parents, grandparents, and special guests. The actors and actresses wore colorful masks made from plastic molds of their own faces.

Spirit Parade 2011

In anticipation of the 96th McDonogh vs. Gilman football game, the entire student body donned orange and black for the annual all-school Spirit Parade on Friday, November 4th.

Flash Mob

Fifth and Sixth Grade students of Middle School Choral Music Director, Mrs. Eldridge, held a flash mob in the dining hall.

Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen

Lower School students enjoyed a performance by bluegrass musicians Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre on October 18, 2011.

Lower School Chapel 10/11/2011

Lee Jeon, Class of 2012, performed at the October 11th Lower School Chapel which celebrated the wonder of music and its power to transform.
